πŸ“„ Terms of Use

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1Welcome to LockedIn! πŸš€

These are the Terms of Use for LockedIn β€” the platform that teaches you how to use AI, Money, and People skills to build the life you want. By creating an account or using LockedIn (at lockedin.mobi), you're agreeing to follow these terms. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian should read these with you β€” and by letting you use LockedIn, they're agreeing too. Think of this as a handshake. 🀝 You agree to use LockedIn the right way, and we agree to give you an awesome platform to learn and grow on. If you don't agree with anything here, that's okay β€” but you shouldn't use LockedIn. LockedIn is operated by FinHub, based in Australia. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean FinHub and the LockedIn platform. When we say "you" or "your," we mean you β€” the person using LockedIn.

2Who Can Use LockedIn 🎯

LockedIn is built for kids aged 10 and older who want to level up their skills in AI, Money, and People. Here's who can sign up: β€’ If you're 13 or older, you can create your own account. β€’ If you're between 10 and 12, you need a parent or guardian to give permission and help you sign up. β€’ If you're under 10, LockedIn isn't designed for you yet β€” but keep growing and come back when you're ready! Parents and guardians can contact us at any time at daniel@finhub.net.au to ask questions about their child's account, request data deletion, or manage their child's participation. We may ask you to verify your age. If we find out someone is using LockedIn without meeting these requirements, we may need to pause or remove their account.

3Your Account πŸ”

When you create a LockedIn account, you're responsible for it. Here's what that means: Keep your login safe. Your password is yours. Don't share it with friends, siblings, or anyone else. Be honest. Use accurate information when you sign up. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. One account per person. Don't create multiple accounts to game the system, reset your progress, or get around a suspension. Tell us if something's wrong. If you think someone else has accessed your account, let us know right away at daniel@finhub.net.au. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, or violate our community standards.

4The LockedIn Code ✊

LockedIn has a community β€” and every community needs shared standards. Our Community Guidelines explain exactly how we expect everyone to treat each other here. When you use LockedIn, you agree to follow them. The short version: β€’ Be respectful. Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. β€’ Be real. No fake profiles, no lying, no pretending to be someone else. β€’ Be a builder, not a breaker. Add value. Encourage others. Lift people up. β€’ Be accountable. If you mess up, own it. That's how you grow. Our three values β€” Vision, Accountability, and Problem Solver β€” aren't just words. They guide how we all act on this platform. Violating the Community Guidelines can result in warnings, suspensions, or account removal, depending on the severity.

5Your Content ✍️

On LockedIn, you create things β€” journal entries, challenge messages, poll votes, squad chats, book club discussions, and more. That's your content. You own what you create. Your journal entries, your ideas, your words β€” they're yours. You give us permission to use it on the platform. When you post or share something on LockedIn, you give us a licence to display, store, and use that content as part of the platform's features. We can moderate your content. We may review, edit, hide, or remove content that violates our Community Guidelines or these Terms. You're responsible for what you post. Don't share anything that's harmful, illegal, hateful, or dishonest. If you delete your account, we will remove your content from public view, though some data may remain in backups or logs as required for safety and legal purposes.

6Our Content πŸ“š

LockedIn is full of content we've created β€” lessons, quests, curriculum, articles, graphics, videos, the belt system design, and the overall look and feel of the platform. All of that belongs to FinHub or our content partners. You can use it to learn, grow, and complete your quests on the platform β€” that's what it's there for! But you cannot: β€’ Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our lessons, curriculum, or materials β€’ Use our content to create your own course, app, or product β€’ Screenshot or record our content and post it elsewhere for commercial purposes β€’ Remove any copyright or attribution notices In short: learn from it, don't take it. If you want to share LockedIn with a friend, send them to lockedin.mobi so they can experience it properly. πŸ’ͺ

7XP, Belts & Achievements πŸ†

On LockedIn, you earn XP (Experience Points) by completing quests, reading, journaling, and engaging with the platform. As you earn XP, you progress through the belt system: 🀍 White Belt β†’ 🟑 Yellow Belt β†’ 🟠 Orange Belt β†’ 🟒 Green Belt β†’ πŸ”΅ Blue Belt β†’ 🟣 Purple Belt β†’ 🟀 Brown Belt β†’ ⚫ Black Belt β€’ XP, belts, streaks, and achievements are virtual rewards. They do not have any real-world monetary value. β€’ We can adjust the XP system as we improve LockedIn. β€’ Don't cheat the system. Earning XP through exploits, bots, or manipulation will result in consequences. β€’ Your progress is tied to your account. If your account is removed, your XP and belt progress may be lost. The real reward isn't the belt β€” it's the skills you build along the way. 🧠

8Social Features πŸ’¬

LockedIn includes social features: Challenges, Squads, Book Clubs, and Polls. Be a good teammate. Encourage others. Celebrate wins. Help people who are struggling. Stay on topic. Social features are for learning, discussing ideas, and supporting each other. We moderate social spaces. Content that breaks our Community Guidelines will be removed. Nothing is truly private. Messages in squads, challenges, and book clubs are visible to other participants and may be reviewed by our moderation team. Remember: every interaction is a chance to practise your People skills. Use them wisely.

9Things You Can't Do 🚫

To keep this platform safe and awesome for everyone, here are things you must not do: β€’ Bully, harass, or threaten anyone β€” ever. β€’ Post hateful content targeting someone's identity. β€’ Share inappropriate, violent, sexual, or disturbing content. β€’ Share personal information β€” yours or anyone else's. β€’ Impersonate another person or create fake accounts. β€’ Cheat, exploit, or hack the platform or XP system. β€’ Spam β€” don't flood chats or post irrelevant links. β€’ Use bots or automated tools without permission. β€’ Attempt to access other people's accounts or private data. β€’ Use LockedIn for anything illegal. β€’ Sell, trade, or transfer your account. β€’ Reverse-engineer, copy, or scrape the platform. β€’ Advertise or promote without our permission. If you see someone doing any of these things, report it. That's not snitching β€” that's being a Problem Solver. πŸ›‘οΈ

10We Can Suspend or Remove Accounts ⚠️

We don't want to remove anyone. But if someone is making LockedIn unsafe or breaking these Terms, we will act. Warnings first (usually). For minor issues, we'll send a warning. Temporary suspensions. For repeated or serious violations. Permanent removal. For severe violations like bullying, sharing harmful content, or illegal activity. Appeals. If you believe your account was suspended or removed unfairly, contact us at daniel@finhub.net.au. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account, at any time, for any reason β€” but we will always try to be fair and transparent.

11The Platform "As Is" πŸ”§

We work hard to make LockedIn the best it can be. But: β€’ We don't guarantee the platform will work perfectly 100% of the time. β€’ We may add, change, or remove features at any time. β€’ We can't guarantee specific learning outcomes β€” what you get out depends on the effort you put in. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory.

12Limitation of Liability πŸ“‹

We are not responsible if the platform is temporarily unavailable, you lose progress due to technical issues, another user acts inappropriately, or something goes wrong with a third-party service. Since LockedIn is currently free to use, our total liability is limited to AUD $0 (or the minimum amount required by law). If Australian consumer law applies to you, nothing in these Terms limits those rights. In simple terms: use LockedIn wisely, and remember β€” real-world decisions should always involve a trusted adult. 🧭

13Changes to These Terms πŸ”„

As LockedIn grows, we may need to update these Terms of Use. β€’ We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. β€’ For significant changes, we'll notify you through the platform. β€’ Your continued use of LockedIn after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with new Terms, you can stop using LockedIn and request account deletion.

14Australian Law πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Australia. If there's ever a legal dispute, it will be handled under Australian law and in Australian courts. We always prefer to resolve things through conversation rather than legal action. If you have a concern, reach out to us first at daniel@finhub.net.au. 🀝
